License to Carry Permits  The process is easier than you think.

ALL applicants  MUST provide us with a valid/current drivers license or State Issued Identification Card that reflects the correct address on your application. If you have recently moved you are to provide us with the address update card along with your drivers license/State I.d. card. Anyone not providing this required information will have their application withdrawn and will have to reapply.

 

Learning the laws regulating the use of firearms is a must for responsible ownership. Local regulations differ and laws vary from state to state. Citizens must check with the jurisdiction where the gun is to be used.

The Sheriff and his staff are required to follow strict state guidelines when performing the necessary background checks for License to Carry Permits. Due to the nature of the detailed due dilligence, appointment times and processing times can take multiple weeks. 

License to Carry Permits can be obtained from the county sheriff of your county of residence.

Upon submitting an application through this site, you will be responsible for all fees associated. If denied by PA Insta Check or by failure to answer any questions appropriately, $15 will be refunded. This reflects an administrative fee of $5 that will be kept by the Sheriff's Office per State Statute and any service fees kept by Permitium.

 

Gaining competency with firearms is like learning to drive a car or fly an airplane. You need expert instruction and practice. There is no shortcut. If you are not willing to invest the time and effort to become competent, then having a firearm and trying to use it can, in many instances, be more hazardous than any impending threat.
